Hong Kong Observatory Open Day 2024

Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) will organize “HKO Open Day” on 23 (Saturday) and 24 (Sunday) 2024 to showcase the work of HKO.

Adopting the theme of World Meteorological Day this year, “At the frontline of climate action”, the exhibitions of the Open Day will promote public awareness on climate change and showcase how the HKO applies the latest technology to provide various services including weather forecasting, aviation weather, microclimate monitoring and radiation monitoring.

The visit is available in different time slots for registration. When there is oversubscription, selection will be made by computer balloting.

(Remark: Duration of each session of visit is around 1 hour)
The online registration is now closed. The successful applicant will receive the QR code for the entry through email on or before 12 Mar 2024.

Inclement Weather Arrangement
HKO may change the visiting arrangement, such as postponing or cancelling the Open Day event, as appropriate in case of inclement weather. Successful applicants should stay tuned to the latest announcement on HKO website.

The above arrangements may be adjusted subject to the actual situation. HKO will announce the changes, if any, as soon as possible.
